What the role actually is

You don't need a curriculum. You need a table and a story.

Mentors staff roundtable rotations and the mentor lunch, sitting with small groups of students as they work through the four forces and a business simulation. We give you the prompts. You bring the story worth telling.

  • No preparation required.Every prompt is scripted. Training walks you through exactly what to say and how to redirect a conversation.
  • Small groups, real conversations.Students rotate through your table in short, structured sessions — never a lecture, always a dialogue.
Why it matters

The forty-five minutes that sticks longer than the assembly.

Most career-readiness programs teach the four-year college track. This one teaches the track most kids are actually on — building something from nothing, without inherited connections or a blueprint.

  • Unscripted advice, from someone who isn't grading them.Often the only adult conversation of the day that isn't a lecture.
  • A relationship, not a résumé line.Many mentors stay in touch with students well past the pilot day.

Training
One 90-minute session before the pilot — we'll find a time that works.
Pilot day
One full day on-site during spring 2027 — three cohort dates, pick what fits your schedule.

A background check, since you'll be working directly with students.
